If we want to adopt tax culture, we should start with the members of parliament, the finance minister said

 

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen has said that in order to cultivate tax culture, it should start with the parliamentarians.

According to Express News, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen has released the tax directory of MPs. Addressing the function on the occasion, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen said that taxes play an important role in the development of a society. The Finance Minister said that steps are being taken for transparency and simplification in the tax system, whoever has the power here hides the tax, we are not able to meet the current expenses from our revenue, we will find out through ID card who has how much income. Will not do but will have to pay taxes.

Shaukat Tareen said that there should be no tax other than income tax and GST, out of population of 22 crore only 3 million people pay tax, tax net needs to be increased to increase revenue.
