Heavy rains forecast in different cities of Sindh including Karachi

 


Karachi: The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in different cities of Sindh including Karachi. According to the latest forecast released by the Meteorological Department, a powerful system of westerly winds causing the second rains of the winter monsoon will enter the country on January 3 via North Balochistan.


The effects of the western line will gradually extend to Upper Sindh. Later, the effects of the Western system will spread throughout the country. As a result of this storm, Dadu, Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Qambar and Shahdad Kot are likely to receive thundershowers from January 4 to 6.


Karachi, Hyderabad, Sanghar, Badin, Thatta, Mirpur Khas, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Umerkot and Thar Parkar may receive balanced and heavy rains between January 5 and 6. According to the Meteorological Department, it is likely to be clear and cloudy during the next 3 days. The nights are expected to be cold during this time. The city recorded a low of 11.9 degrees Celsius and a high of 25.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
